8TH PUBLIC HEALTH DAYS
A Multidisciplinary Approach to Osteoporosis Management
Dear Scientists and Dear Students,
We are honored to invite you to the symposium “8th Public Health Days: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Osteoporosis Management” in the 101st Year of our Republic, which will be held in person on 18 December 2024.
Osteoporosis has become an important public health problem that is increasingly prevalent in our country and worldwide along with the aging population. Characterized by the weakening of bone tissue, this disease increases the risk of fractures, reduces individuals’ quality of life and causes serious health complications. In this context, osteoporosis requires a multidisciplinary approach in health services.
In the management of osteoporosis, the joint work of nursing, physiotherapy, nutrition and other health disciplines is of critical importance in protecting patients’ quality of life and minimizing complications. For this reason, adopting a holistic approach to the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis and bringing together the knowledge and experience of health professionals has become a vital necessity.
This symposium, which coincides with the 101st year of our Republic, aims to address osteoporosis on a scientific basis, to share and discuss the views and suggestions of valuable speakers from different health-related disciplines, and to raise awareness on the subject. We look forward to seeing you with us in order to develop a multidisciplinary perspective on osteoporosis management and to create applicable solution proposals.
