Department of Nursing
Introduction to the undergraduate and graduate programs of the Department of Nursing.
The undergraduate program of the Department of Nursing within the Faculty of Health Sciences was established on 25/08/2011 and started education in the 2011-2012 academic year. The master’s program started in 2014-2015 and the doctoral program started in the 2015-2016 academic year.
The undergraduate program of the Department of Nursing at Hasan Kalyoncu University Faculty of Health Sciences covers full-time 4-year nursing education. Courses are carried out theoretically and practically. The language of the nursing program is Turkish. Graduates who successfully complete the undergraduate program in nursing receive the degree of “Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing” and the title of “Nurse”.
As of 2019, our department continues its undergraduate and graduate education and research activities with 4 Professors, 4 Assistant Professors, 3 Lecturers and 4 Research Assistants.
Nursing Program Educational Objectives
Educational Objective 1
They are employed in first, second and third level health care organizations and in health-related departments of universities, where they can provide health care services for healthy / sick individuals, family and community needs in accordance with national and international care standards, with a systematic problem-solving approach, holistically and in line with ethical principles.
Educational Objective 2
Within 5 years following graduation, they assume the role of researcher, educator and leader who will guide the development of care and the profession within a team approach, with innovative practices based on scientific data and technology.
Educational Objective 3
They continue their academic, professional and personal development with the awareness of lifelong learning.
