As part of the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, a meaningful event was held by the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Adnan Batuhan COŞKUN of the Child Health and Diseases Nursing unit and Res. Asst. Merve PİŞKİN. The event, attended by 3rd-year nursing students, was held at the Gaziantep Cengiz Gökçek Gynecology, Obstetrics and Children’s Hospital, and April 23 was celebrated with great enthusiasm.
Face painting activities accompanied by children’s songs performed by a music group added joy to the celebration. A magic show held during the event attracted great interest from the children and turned into a fun moment.
Nursing students spent one-on-one time with the children, wearing colorful costumes inspired by fairy-tale characters. The children had a lot of fun with the coloring activities held together with the students. Throughout the event, small gifts were distributed to the children, reinforcing the festive spirit.
At the end of the program, the event was concluded with a visual feast as colorful balloons were released into the sky.
