As part of the 2026-2027 Academic Year, the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, Hasan Kalyoncu University held a Department Orientation Program to support the adaptation of newly enrolled students to university and departmental life.
As part of the program, students were given general information about Hasan Kalyoncu University, the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Department of Nursing, and were informed about the academic structure of the department, its educational processes and the opportunities available to students throughout their university life.
During the orientation program, the presentation delivered by Faculty Orientation Coordinator Res. Asst. Fatih Sarıgül shared basic information on nursing education and the profession, and was supported by interactive questions. Students were encouraged to share their views and thoughts on the nursing profession through questions and mutual interaction.
The program also included talks by peers. Through presentations by Elif İrem Döner, a graduate of the Hasan Kalyoncu University Department of Nursing who is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the same department, and by second-year nursing students Yağmur Öztürk and Adile Yavuz, students were able to benefit from the experiences of nursing education and university life. Through peer sharing, students had the opportunity to hear directly from students and graduates about the topics they were curious about regarding their education.
The orientation program aimed to help students get to know the Department of Nursing more closely, adapt to university life, and develop awareness of the nursing profession.
