The Nursing Practice and Research Laboratory, established within the Department of Nursing of the Faculty of Health Sciences, has begun educational activities aimed at developing students’ professional knowledge and skills.
Within the scope of the work carried out in the laboratory, students in the Fundamentals of Nursing course have the opportunity to perform basic nursing practices in a structured training environment. In this context, basic skills related to patient care, assessment of vital signs, aseptic procedures, medication administration and care processes are practiced hands-on.
Thanks to practice-focused training, students have the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge while systematically developing their professional skills. At the same time, the aim is to support teamwork, communication and clinical reasoning skills.
Our newly opened laboratory aims both to increase the practical competence of our students and to strengthen quality in nursing education.
