Nursing is a profession that serves to protect and develop the health of the individual, family and society, to regain and rehabilitate health in case of deterioration, and the education period is four years. Our department was established on 25/08/2011 and started teaching in the 2011-2012 academic year.
It is a profession that is needed by the society in the world and in Turkey, has a numerical deficiency and has employment opportunities in various fields. Those who successfully complete the undergraduate education program; They can work in preventive, curative and rehabilitative services, in private and public health institutions, in institutions such as universities, state hospitals, schools and factories, and in family health centers.
In addition to the theoretical and practical courses aimed at gaining professional roles and functions in the undergraduate education process, our students also take courses from other sciences that will provide equipment in the fields of communication, foreign language, education, management, health informatics, research and care management. Applications of vocational courses are carried out in hospitals, family health and community health centers, schools, workplaces and home care units according to the content of the courses. Our students practice as intern nurses in their last year in order to adapt to their professional lives more easily and to provide quality care after graduation. The undergraduate program is completed with a total of 182 credits and 240 ECTS in accordance with European Union standards.
In our department, education is given in seven disciplines (Basics of Nursing, Internal Diseases Nursing, Surgical Diseases Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing, Child Health and Diseases Nursing, Public Health Nursing, Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing) and each branch is specialized in its field. It provides service with its strong academic staff consisting of academic members / staff with national and international experience. There are graduate and doctorate programs in nursing.
Our department interacts with the countries it has agreements with within the framework of the Erasmus program, international student and lecturer exchange programs.
Our department has social, sports and cultural areas offered by the university campus. Our students can be prepared for life in many areas, both professionally and socially.
